The Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a nationwide awareness campaign to ensure eligible veterans and active-duty service members understand the full scope of VA home loan benefits. The campaign highlights zero-down-payment options, competitive rates, and limited closing costs.
Despite being one of the most generous mortgage programs available, VA loan utilization remains below potential. Studies show that nearly 30 percent of eligible veterans are unaware they qualify for the benefit or mistakenly believe it is a one-time use program.
Participating lenders and veteran service organizations will host informational workshops in over 200 cities through the summer, with free one-on-one counseling available for those ready to begin the homebuying process.
